Applied research of islanding detection grid connected power generation on correlation method

摘要
A novel active islanding detection algorithm based on correlation method was proposed. The modulation sinusoidal waveform was modified by a binary pseudo-random signal (M-sequence signal) so that the voltage of PCC (the point of common coupling) would have correlation properties. In the grid-connected scenario, the voltage of PCC is dominated by voltage of power grid and the correlation function has no remarkable peak; however, once the islanding event takes place, the correlation function of PCC will have a remarkable peak. Therefore, the islanding can be detected by monitoring the peak of the correlation function. The experimental results demonstrate that the method can effectively detect island effect and proposed algorithm is easily realized.
