Enron announced to 14 pulp and paper producers in North American and offshore that it would sell the 550,000 mtpy Papiers Stadacona mill in Quebec City. The sale is part of a plan to raise cash for its creditors, and the 14 companies would be the possible bidders on the assets. Papier Stadacona is still making profits as per company reports. The mill will continue to operate business as usual till the time it gets any offers.
