摘要
The data on platinum metal sorption by carbon materials (natural, technical, synthetic carbons, and carbon fibers) have been generalized. The main factors determining the sorption processes, the different authors notions on sorption mechanism, and also the practical use of the sorbents for platinum metal compounds extraction from water and complex mixtures have been considered. The obtained results indicate that sorption methods are efficient for extracting platinum metals from water and aqueous solutions including industrial wastewater.
