Real time optimal dispatch of water resources for irrigation area

Based on real time dispatch principle and according to the characteristics of deployment for agricultural water resources, a layered coupling model for optimal dispatch of water resources is established. The model consists of five modules: long term water demand and supply forecasting module, mid and long term water resources optimal deployment module, module for real time forecasting of water demand and supply, module for short term dynamic water distribution of irrigation cannel system and the module for real time error correction based on fuzzy identification. By applying this model the forward rolling dispatch including the forecasting, decision making, implementation and error correction is realized. In the mid and long term water resources optimal deployment module a method based on fuzzy clustering and Markov chain for forecasting of the available precipitation is introduced, and the crop water demand and permissible exploited amount of groundwater can be predicted according to the forecasting. The application shows that the model can effectively reduce the error of optimal dispatch.
