Electrically powered actuation system design for long range wide body commercial aircraft

摘要
Electrically Powered Actuation (EPA) technology is the key of the more electric aircraft. Firstly, the information of outboard civil aircraft (A380, A350XWB, Boeing 787) EPA is reviewed, the trends of flight control actuation system used in more electric aircraft are outlined. Then, for China's long range wide body commercial aircraft, a suitable power configuration 2 sets of independent Hydraulic plus 2 sets of independent Electrical (2H/2E) and EPA configuration are proposed. Safety, power consumption and weight are the most important aspects of civil aircraft actuation systems, calculating for EPA design. © 2017, Press of Chinese Journal of Aeronautics.
