Ilim Pulp Enterprise (IPE) has won two crucial court cases in its struggle for control of both the Kotlas Pulp and Paper Mill and the Bratsk plant. The presidium of the Kemerovo regional court has overturned the court's April 25 rulings in favor of two minority shareholders. The ownership dispute flared up when two minority shareholders accused IPE of mismanagement of the plants. IPE's chairman has asked the government to put an end to the specter of hostile takeovers that stalks the Russian industry.
