摘要
Plastics manufacturers need to adopt certain solutions, to prevent resin loss, during blown film manufacturing process. Some of the factors that lead to resin loss during blown film manufacturing process, include slow thickness variation of blown films and slow, or uncontrolled film width. It has been observed that the problem of deteriorating thin spots force operators, to allow resin loss, in an effort to meet minimum gauge specifications. The effort of adding material, to increase minimum film thickness, increases thickness proportionately across the entire web, resulting in significant resin loss during blown film manufacturing process. Operators need to make significant investments, to solve the problem of dies, producing thin, or thick spots during the manufacturing process. The development of a schedule for cleaning the die pin can also be a significant solution to overcome the problem of resin loss during blown film manufacturing process.
