The kinetic hydrate inhibitor has low dosage and environmental friendly features, but the inhibition effect is affected by sub-cooling degree greatly. Based on the analysis on inhibition mechanism of combination of polyvinylcaprolactam (PVCap) and methanol, the synergetic effect of the two types of hydrate inhibitors was investigated. And the influences of inhibitor content, pressure, sub-cooling degree and sub-cooling time on the inhibition effect of the compound system were analyzed. The results show that the PVcap and methanol system has good kinetic inhibition effect at high sub-cooling degree, but it is affected by pressure and sub-cooling time greatly.
