摘要
Assembly as the last step of the production process is strongly affected by fluctuations in demand. Service-based business concepts can be a chance for manufacturers of assembly systems who want to offer their customers solutions for this problem. This paper is going to present a range of business concepts for the assembly industry and is going to show how they contribute to a reduction of the total costs of ownership. On that basis, an indicator-based approach is derived serving as a guideline for manufacturers in identifying the appropriate solution offer for their customers.
