摘要
The electro-dewatering (EDW) is helpful to cut down heat consumption of sludge drying process by decreasing deeply water content of sewage sludge. The study focused on the way of water's separation near the cathode, and converted the gravity separation into adsorption separation by adding absorbent material beneath the cathode to improve the efficiency of dehydration. Meanwhile, the influence of some operating conditions was investigated, such as voltage and mechanical pressure, through the electro-dewatering and provided dehydration effect under different operating conditions. It showed that adsorbent material is obviously helpful to decrease the final water content of sewage sludge and reduce the power consumption, and suitable voltage, proper pressure and cathode were helpful to sludge deeply dewatering. On the condition of 50 V, 21 kPa, stainless steel net of 58 μm (250 mesh) as cathode, the water content of sludge can be easily reduced from 82.7% to 56.10% in 90 seconds.
