摘要
In this new configuration a transducer layer is deposited on a core of a multimode fibre. We present the response of a Pd-surface plasmon resonance (SPR) multimode H2 sensor, where all the modes are equally excited in the optical fibre in order to decrease the effect of modal conversion. The spectral modulation of the light transmitted by the fibre allows to detect H2. The sensor is only sensitive to the transverse magnetic polarized light and the Transverse Electric polarized light can be used as a reference signal. The study of the sensitivity and time response is achieved for several sensor configurations. ©2016 Old City Publishing, Inc.
