Effects of increase in British Columbia's pulp mill residual chip inventories were discussed. Interior sawmills increased output and efficiencies to reduce unit costs in battling US-imposed antidumping duties. Reports indicated that only one of the two pulp lines would operate at 1,000 tonnes/day of market pulp.
