摘要
A novel type of planar ultra-wideband ( UWB) antenna with double band-notched characteristics was designed to effectively minimize the interference of narrow band signals. The original work included: the new defected ground structure(DGS)is used to widen the bandwidth; the octagon radiating patch and the fed line are loaded with a complementary split-ring resonator and a U-shaped slot, respectively, to achieve the double band-notched characteristics within the frequency range between 3.7~4.1 GHz and 5.1~5.9 GHz. The mechanism responsible for band-notched antenna was discussed, and the influence of antenna geometry on the notch band was evaluated. The newly-designed, prototyped antenna was fabricated and tested. The test results show that the newly-developed antenna is capable of restraining the interference of both the C-band satellite cormnunication and local wireless network. In addition, the small sized antenna has good characteristics of radiation patterns and gain curve.
