To solve the problem of vacant sampling and data rejection in networked control systems whose network-induced delay is longer than the sampling period under the time-division control mode, a compensation control method based on model prediction is proposed. A buffer window is established at the actuator of the system to store some history control inputs which are used to estimate and predict the control state of the present sampling period. In terms of the synthetic effects of these history control inputs, the method takes compensation control to improve the performance of the system. Simulation result verifies the validity of the proposed method.
