New millennium - new quality. This corresponds completely with the impression of every visitor to the first European Coatings Show of the new millennium. The meteoric development in the field of raw materials, coatings, printing inks and application technology was reflected by the clear trend in measurement and test equipment to ergonomic requirements. Easy, quick and convenient measurement has been optimised to meet the concrete demands of the operator and requirements of quality assurance. Compared to 1999, there were numerous new technical solutions at this year's exhibition. Advances, particularly in performance, ergonomics and reliability were clearly apparent to visitors involved in testing of coatings who were justified in talking of a massive jump in quality compared to the previous generation of instruments.
