The quality control offered by Automated optical inspection (AOI) system and Statistical process control (SOC) software for the printed circuit board manufacturing was reported. It points out the variations at any point in the assembly process that could lead to the problems. The sucsessful integration of these two technologies provides an optimum level of automation and improves the overall return on the investment of the entire assembly line. This shows good result in rapidaly changing contract manufacturing environment.
