The isothermal combustion experiment of corncob/coal blends was carried out by a modified isothermal thermogravimetric system in oxygen-enriched atmosphere, and a double component phased reaction model which is suitable for the oxygen-enriched combustion of corncob/coal blends was established. Parameters obtained by double component phased reaction model can reflect the difference of reaction mechanism and burning speed between the two phases of volatiles and coal char combustion, which can explain the isothermal combustion mechanism of corncob/coal blends. Simulation curves obtained by double component phased reaction model coincide with the experiment curves well under different temperatures, O2 concentration, corncob blending ratio and types of coal, and all the determination coefficient(R2)of the model are greater than 0.998. © 2016, Editorial Board of Acta Energiae Solaris Sinica.
