摘要
CO2 laser beam welding (LBW) is one of the complex, augmented accuracies required and high-speed material combining process. To combine different materials such as stainless steels, carbon steels, aluminium, HSLA steels, titanium and the superalloys, laser beam is applied as a heat source during welding. CO2 LBW is mainly applyed in the fields such as airbags, fuel filters, solenoids, steel structures, air conditioning equipment, fuel injectors, alternators, transmission parts, joining of miniature electronic components and in engine parts. This literature review work focuses on study work conducted on CO2 and hybrid laser welding, mechanical and microstructural studies, analytical and numerical modelling techniques and optimization of process parameters. The time frame of the review is up to the year 2020. © 2021 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
