Continued cuts in NASA aeronautics budget could have major detrimental impacts on the national economy, aviation safety and security, industrial competitiveness, and military superiority. With the current crisis, a revitalization of NASA's aeronautics research program is being called for. The approval of the revitalization program will depend on whether organizations like AIAA and AHS as well as members convince the Congress of its importance.
