摘要
In order to explore the influence of rare earth Er on the cyclic stress response behavior and low-cycle fatigue life of as-extruded Al-0.8% Mg-0.6% Si alloy, the strain controlled low-cycle fatigue tests were performed at room temperature. The results indicate that both extruded Al-0.8% Mg-0.6% Si and Al-0.8% Mg-0.6% Si-0.5% Er alloys show the cyclic strain hardening during fatigue deformation. Due to the addition of 0.5% Er, the cyclic deformation resistance of the Al-0.8% Mg-0.6% Si alloy gets significantly enhanced, while the low-cycle fatigue life of the Al-0.8% Mg-0.6% Si alloy is decreased. ©, 2015, Editorial Office of Chinese Rare Earths.
