The objective of this study is to investigate the mechanisms controlling the glow dielectric barrier discharge (GDBD) using PSIM software. Asimulation model was established through the analysis on relevant constraints, such as reactor configuration (gas gap distance, shape of electrode and dielectric barrier thickness), gas properties, and amplitude and frequency of applied voltage. Through this study, it was found that the dynamic behavior of the discharge parameters (such as gas gap voltage and discharge current), with are not measurable in the real process, is study with the electrical simulation model, and the voltage-current curves are also obtained from simulation and used to analyze the evolution trajectory of the homogeneous DBD. © 2018 Lavoisier
