This paper presents the results of spinning trials with flax and hemp cottonised fibres obtained by a mechanical method and carried out by the cotton rotor spinning system. The parameters of the raw materials, flax cottonised fibre, cottonised hemp fibre and cotton, which were used for the tests are presented together with conditions of the technological process ensuring trouble-free spinning of cotton-flax and cotton hemp blends. Cotton-like blended, flax containing yarns were manufactured in the 40-100 tex range of linear density. The content of flax and hemp in a blend as assessed before spinning was 44-54%. The possibilities of application of cotton-like rotor yarns in the production of woven and knitted fabrics as well as socks are also presented.
