Problem Solving with a Method – A Step-by- Step Guide for a Journey from the Problem to the Solution. Looking at problems there are people who find ways, others find reasons. This article aims at finding ways! The quadrant Plan of the problem solving cycle PDCA is the key to the success of any problem solving, but it contains extensive tasks while being described too vaguely for a systematic handling. A chain of analyses subdivides this quadrant into manageable work packages. The article is directed at all those, who are interested in improving their efficiency and enjoy systematic thinking. © 2016, Carl Hanser Verlag. All rights reserved.
