摘要
Through the transfer of digital sonographic data to the SONY Glasstron head mounted display (HMD) in head and neck surgery, preoperatively gained 3D-sonographical data can be intraoperatively recalled, so that a more focused and facilitated surgical intervention is possible by comparing the data with the interoperative pathological findings. Preoperatively sonographically detected soft tissue changes are transferred via intranet to the operating room. The fixing of the HMD on the surgeon's head offers the advantage of continuous work without interruption and simultaneous visualization of the data at anytime on a projection screen.
