In order to efficiently operate coke ovens, it is necessary to provide on-line information on characteristics of coal charge materials. Such information makes it possible to correct composition of the coal charge materials and to produce high-quality coke. Advanced communication lines are used for information transmission. Taking into account presence of such lines, computer-aided system has been developed. The system provides accounting of the incoming coals, their distribution in hoppers. Mathematical model of coal consumption has been developed. This has led to creating the opportunity to predict coke quality.
