摘要
In order to realize the safe and reliable operation of permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system, an open circuit fault diagnosis method based on the residual current of the mixed logical dynamic model is proposed in this paper. By studying the discrete switching signals and continuous current state variables, a mixed logic dynamic model of the motor drive system was established to estimate motor currents. Then, the polarities of the errors between the estimated and the actual currents were extracted as the diagnostic features. The faulty switches can be located by searching for the designed fault status table. The variables used in the control strategy were used to realize fault detection avoiding additional sensors. Besides, the proposed approach can reduce the influence of loads. The simulated and experimental results show that the proposed method has the advantage of short diagnosis time, high accuracy and strong robustness. And the diagnosis time is less than the 60% of the fundamental current cycle. © 2023 Editorial Department of Electric Machines and Control. All rights reserved.
