The Nuqul Group has brought a new tissue machine, PM3, online at its Al-Sindian Paper Mill in 6th October City, Egypt. The 54,000 tonne/yr unit began production on January 14, 2005. Metso Paper supplied the 5.5 m wide PM, which manufactures towel, facial and toilet tissue grades from virgin pulp in a basis weight range of 12-30 g/m2. Nuqul also plans to build a new tissue mill in the Gulf Cooperative Council region. The plant will house one machine, PM 4, and some converting equipment.
