Energy conservation scheme based on reliable transportation in mobile Ad Hoc network

摘要:
With the spreading application of mobile Ad Hoc network, how to effectively save energy for mobile nodes and increase life-span of network is a major challenge. Since few protocols and schemes consider the link error, the optimal energy consumption in end-to-end retransmission case and hop-by-hop retransmission case are studied and new link cost functions are defined in this paper. Simulation results show that routing protocols using the scheme have better performance and represent a tradeoff between energy efficiency and data transportation reliability.
