The shortage of spectrum resource restricts further development of WSNs while lower capacity hinders the practicality. In order to take advantage of spectrum resource reasonably and enlarge network capacity, we establish a channel assignment model which considers the capacity and the minimum channel number. Then we design a corresponding channel assignment algorithm based on this model. Simulation results show that the algorithm can get the minimum number of channels. Besides, the channel assignment results have lower interference and higher capacity, the channel assignment station is of great balance. 1553-9105/Copyright © 2014 Binary Information Press.
