摘要
Bimetallic plain and journal bearings are made from parent metal coated with another soft metal, usually babbitt. Reliability of machinery exploiting such bearings depends on a quality of adhesion between babbitt and the main metallic core. In this paper, ultrasonic non-destructive testing of journal bearings is discussed. The testing method and completely automated ultrasonic inspection system are described. The methods of evaluation of a total delaminated area are analysed. Experimental results, illustrating performance of the developed hardware and software are presented.
