摘要
In heterogeneous wireless networks, the performances of networks are assessed by various objectives, such as new call blocking probability, the number of handovers and system throughput. Generally some of these objectives conflict with one another. As an essential issue of radio resource management, connection admission control (CAC) is to decide whether a new call or a handover request can be admitted into a resource-constrained network. Considering the contradicting objectives, a CAC algorithm with multiobjective optimization is presented in this paper to improve the utilization of system resources and the quality of user experience. The proposed algorithm chooses an appropriate solution from Pareto optimal set to jointly optimize all required objectives. Simulation results show that the proposed CAC algorithm can efficiently make a compromise between the multiple and contradicting objectives of system performances.
