A new multipath signals receiving scheme based on DOA estimation and beamforming with multi-antenna

In the vehicle wireless OFDM communication system, the effect of multipath fading and Doppler frequency shift in channel may cause frequency selective fading at the frequency domain and inter-subcarrier interference in an OFDM symbol, which can reduce the system transmission performance. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a new receiving scheme to eliminate the multipath effect at OFDM receiver which is to separate multipath signals and extract the main path based on DOA estimation and beamforming (OMSDB). This scheme takes advantage of spatial information of multipath signals, separates path signals and extracts the main path through beamforming each path signal. OMSDB can effectively extract the main paththus greatly improves the performance of the receiver. In vehicle multipath channel, simulation results verify the effectiveness of our proposed scheme.
