Synthesis, characterization and thermal properties of energetic compound 3, 6-dinitroguanidino-1, 2, 4, 5-tetrazine (DNGTz) and its derivatives

3, 6-Dinitroguanidino-1, 2, 4, 5-tetrazine (DNGTz) with a yield of 92.3% was synthesized from 3, 6-bis(3, 5-dimethylpyrazole-1-yl)-1, 2-dihydro-1, 2, 4, 5-tetrazine through oxidation and substitution, 3, 6-dinitroguanidino-1, 2, 4, 5-tetrazine bistriamino-guanidnium salt(TGA-DNGTz) and a new energetic compound 3, 6-dinitroguanidino-1, 2, 4, 5-tetrazine bisguanylureaium salt (M-DNGTz) were synthesized, furthermore, their structures were characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR, 13CNMR and elemental analysis. The optimal conditions for the reactions of oxidation and substitution were thoroughly obtained. The properties of physico-chemistry, detonation and thermal behaviors for DNGTz, TGA-DNGTz and M-DNGTz, were also studied, and their decomposition temperatures are 218.7, 190.2, and 203.7°C, respectively.
