Pressure-sensitive adhesives are compounds or, polymeric compounds, that are permanently tacky. However, it may be safely said that the strength of a bond is determined by the fine interplay between the polymeric adhesive and the surfaces to be stuck together. Thus, it is believed that the best known application for pressure-sensitive adhesives is Tesafilm.
