摘要
Coal dust is of explosion hazard to some extent as it is volatile and furthermore, the fine one, a kind of flammable dust, has the larger specific surface area. Taking an example of the crushing sieving workshop in the coal preparation plant, the paper mainly deals with the dust explosion hazard by building a hazard evaluation index system on the basis of analysis on the dust explosion accident tree by catastrophe series method. The results show that the influencing factors of dust explosion meet the catastrophe characteristics. The quantitive evaluation index system can be well resolved by combining influencing factors with the accident tree according to catastrophe series theory. Based on process and conclusion of catastrophe series analysis, some technical measures against dust explosion are proposed, and this is of significance for safe production of an enterprise. © Research India Publications.
