Equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) is currently focused due to its capability to fabricate bulk material with ultrafine grain. In this paper, the process of equal channel multi-angular pressing (ECMAP) for Aluminum alloy 7050 is studied by using finite element (FE) simulation. The equivalent strain evolution rules and variation of load-stroke curves during extrusion are discussed. These results give guidelines for ECMAP's die design, determination of process planning.
