摘要
Renalase, a newly-found monoamine oxidase and a cytokine from the kidney, can degrade circulatory catecholamines to regulate the cardiovascular and renal functions. In addition, it has renoprotective effects. Furthermore, it has potential therapeutic values in clinical practice. Herein, the progress on the study of the structure, function and significance of renalase in physiology and disease was reviewed, laying a solid foundation for to the further study. ©, 2015, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
