摘要
According to the noise environment and the requirement of energy saving of wireless sensor networks, a class of signal compression methods with high efficiency, precision preserving, and error tolerance is presented in this paper. It is featured in that a masking threshold to errors of quantification is obtained from the input noise or the input signal-to-noise ratio, which is used to guarantee or control the compression ratio of lossy encoders so as to preserve the real precision of compressed noisy signals, and be advantageous to robust transmission of compressed data and architecture simplification of sensor nodes.
