An experimental study of gas pressure and temperature effect on permeability of raw coal

In order to study the influence of gas pressure and temperature on the permeability of coal, the gas seepage experiment was carried out to study the permeability of raw coal under different gas pressure and temperature by using the self-developed solid and gas coupling triaxial servo equipment. The result shows that the gas pressure and temperature has a great influence on coal permeability. In condition of certain stress, with constant temperature, the gas permeability of coal decreases with the increase of gas pressure; also, with constant pressure, the gas permeability of coal decreases with the increase of temperature. The test result has important significance for coal-bed gas exploitation and gas extraction of high temperature mines. © 2015 ejge.
