摘要
In this paper, a robust detection and location method for inter-turn short circuit fault in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) was proposed based on square of residual current vector modulus. The mathematical models of the PMSM under healthy and fault conditions were presented in dq rotating frame. On this basis, the Luenberger observer was used to estimate dq-axis residual currents owing to the inter-turn short circuit fault. The fault detection index and fault phase location index were reconstructed based on second harmonic component in the square of residual current vector modulus. Both the simulation and experimental results validate that the proposed method could effectively achieve the inter-turn short circuit fault detection and the faulty phase location. Additionally, the proposed method did not require additional hardware and had good robustness against parameter mismatch and rotating speed variation. © 2022 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng.
