摘要
There is an increasing need for stable operation to large scale wind farms. In terms of voltage stability, the demand for reactive power control is increasing and several studies are underway. In this paper, we propose a reactive power allocation method in order to reduce the electrical loss that inevitably occurs when reactive power is supplied by a wind farm. Compared to conventional control methods, the presented method focuses on the control of individual turbines. The output value of each turbine should be formed based on the total reactive power reference for a wind farm. At this time, the distribution method would be performed based on previously composed table from proposed monte-carlo algorithm. Considering the layout of the actual wind farm, the output situation of the wind farm was simulated, and the improvement effect of the loss was derived. A comparison analysis was conducted with general even dispatch method on RTDS and verified under same power extraction condition. © The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers
