摘要
In air-layer drag reduction, the formation of stable air-layer is an important prerequisite. An experimental air-layer drag reduction model in LCC is chosen to study the numerical method. Water-air interface of the air-layer under the hull bottom is simulated with quasi-DNS method and URANS method respectively. The simulation results show that, the quasi-DNS can predict air-layer-uncovered region behind ventilation step, which is in better agreement with the experiment, compared with URANS method, and the effects of the flow vortex structure instability on water-air interface instability and the air layer shape are analyzed as well. © 2022, Editorial Office of Ship Building of China.
