摘要
Styrenated polyester reinforced with small amounts of well dispersed nanoparticles of fumed silica, mica and graphite with the aim to offer advantages over conventional composites. The electrical properties such as electrical conductivity, permittivity, and dielectric loss were studied in dry conditions. On the other hand, the dielectric strength was studied for different environmental conditions (dry, wet, salinity and acidity). All results verified experimentally and confirmed that the composites that contain mica, and fumed silica are much preferable for insulation applications, while the composites containing graphite are preferable for conductor application. © 2020 Huthig GmbH.
