Business decisions depend heavily on the quality of the underlying key figures. To generate these key figures using data analysis methods, manufacturing companies focus primarily on recording data on products and processes along the value chain. However, data quality is often insufficient. In this article, fields of action are derived, and scalable solutions are developed, which address reliable, KPI-based decision-making. These are applied using an industrial example within the automotive sector. © 2023 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
