As Chairperson of the Flood Risk Management Technical Committee of the German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA), Doctor of Engineering Klaus Piroth plays a central role in the committee work around the topic of floods. To the topics of the technical committee belong, among others, the provision of the industry's own set of regulations and raising awareness for the necessity of flood prevention. The operator of the social media channel HochwasserTok (FloodTok) Martha Wingen and the spokesperson of the Jungen DTK (Young German Dam Committee) Niklas Schwiersch interviewed him in his office in Mannheim.
