摘要
Today, facial recognition is a prevalent though controversial technology. It has become established as the most natural means of biometric identification, as it doesn't require any contact or physical interaction by the end user – a feature that has become even more important during the coronavirus pandemic. Facial recognition is also one of the most adopted biometric modalities that's now being used for many and varied use-cases, such as in payments or loyalty experiences. © 2021 Elsevier Ltd
