For the problem of virtual terminal table design in the intelligent substation such as complicated process and low intelligence, the aided automatic design system of virtual terminal is designed to improve intelligence of design for virtual terminal. This paper uses previous SCD files to build history database, takes historical associate equipment and its virtual links as references, studies accurate matching and searching method based on IED information and common keywords, and gives the fuzzy matching method for target virtual links of target equipment. The technologies including searching associated virtual links of IED from the history database, the fuzzy matching with the virtual terminals of current designing IED, automatic generation of virtual links are achieved. The functions, such as the modifying virtual links with dragging and dropping manually on the interface, duplicating virtual links among similar bays and devices, etc. are provided. The effectiveness of the automatic design method is verified by the practical intelligent substation design. The system can improve the intelligence and work efficiency of virtual terminal design. © 2020, Power System Protection and Control Press. All right reserved.
