摘要
A fitting type joint is adopted to the connection of steel frames which requires the disassembling properties and any other purpose. In this study, a new type of connection technique for steel square tube is suggested. This proposed joint has fitting connector by embedding mechanism not using bolt or welding. This paper investigates the resistant mechanism and restoring force characteristics subjected to bending experimentally. Furthermore, the FEM analysis is performed to clarify the mechanical characteristics in detail. And also, the analytical model of this connection is proposed, which can predict the test results well. © 2019 Architectural Institute of Japan. All rights reserved.
