摘要
In an urban greening project in coastal area, two of the most common engineering measures on saline soil amelioration, laying underdrainage and salt-isolation layer, were conducted at the same time to compare the differences between the effect of their improvement. The experimental areas were managed by the standard procedure of green space maintenance for 8 months. The results showed that in spite of the salt accumulated on the surface soil in the area of salt-isolation layer treatment, there was no significant increase in total salt content of 0~60cm layer of soil. As in the area of underdrainage treatment, a better effect of soil improvement achieved that the total salt content of 0~60cm layer of soil decreased significantly while no accumulation of salt was found in surface soil. Meanwhile, secondary salinization occurred seriously in untreated control area, the total salt content and the vertical distribution of the salt in this area was similar to that in undisturbed original soil. According to the results, we recommend that it is necessary to proceed engineering measures during an urban landscaping project in coastal saline soil areas, and laying underdrainage is a priority selection. © 2019, The Editorial Board of Journal of Basic Science and Engineering.
