The shades developed on cotton fabric samples dyed with red sandalwood extract ranges from various shades of light to dark reddish brown. The optimized extraction condition with respect to the highest optical density at maximum wavelength for red sandalwood has been established 11 (pH), 1:10 (MLR), 45 min (extraction time) and 100 C (extraction temperature).
